A collection of flash fiction and short stories of the spooky, horror, and weird kind, with a sprinkle of dark humor here and there. They are grouped in five self-explanatory sections: Zombies, Folklore, Technology, Violence, and Monsters.

“Fun” facts and notable mentions:

  • Creeping is a different take on the zombie apocalypse. It was originally published in the anthology Horror Without Borders cured by Oleg Hasanov, and translated into Russian.
  • Seventy Ghosts is based on Italian folklore. The castle of Maccastorna is real and the events of 1406 actually happened.
  • The Chewer is inspired by some vampire legends and the finding of corpses buried with a stone stuck in their jaws.
  • Patience was originally titled “Speranza” in Italian, which means “hope”.
  • Scratching has been read by a voice actor and I hope to do something nice with the audio some day.
  • Sachiko, Hikikomori, and Miku’s Room are my hommage to Japanese folklore (and my days as a weeb).
  • Whispers and Purple Grass Hill are a twist on the legends around “Incubi” (nightmares).
